Every design is the result of a process. At the beginning of a work relationship
there is a process of collaboration. What does the client want or need,
who is the audience and what are the technical requirements. Whether I am
doing a new custom design or a redesign, I start with mockups. I work on
three different design solutions from which the client can choose one. Then,
I take the chosen design further until the client is satisfied with it.
Next comes the production stage where I start to technically implement the
project. It helps when all content is ready at this point; text, photos,
graphics etc. Once the website is built the client can make minor text changes.
I will make sure everything works fine before going live. In order to illustrate
what I mean by mockups I have put together some examples from real projects.
There is a website design, logo design and packaging design.
I was approached to design a web presence for their consulting business.
They wanted a corporate, but playful look. Below you can see the three different
approaches I took. Each one uses a different colour scheme, layout and fonts.
